Houses of Parliament ticket prices in 2026
There are two paid tours of the palace, a guided tour and an audio tour. Prices depend on the age group and on whether you book in advance or buy on the day. The figures below apply to tickets bought from 1 September 2026, in pounds per person.
A ticket is for one tour at one time. The tower tour, Westminster Abbey and afternoon tea are sold separately. Watching a debate needs no ticket at all, and Prime Minister's Questions is free too. This site is independent and does not sell tickets. It explains how the prices work so you can choose.

How the rules work in practice
Free children, family costs and what is not on the price list.
One free child per paying adult
On the audio tour, each paying adult can bring one child aged 5 to 15 free. It does not apply automatically to every child, and not to every reduced-price adult.
A family example
Two adults and two children aged 5 to 15 pay £120 for the guided tour and £62 for the audio tour when booked in advance. The audio figure uses the free-child rule. The sums use the ticket prices only.
Young adults and students
The reduced category is young adults aged 16 to 24. It is an age category, so it depends on your age on the day, not on a student card.
Guided tour for families
On the guided tour, count each person in their own age category and add the prices up.
Fees and changes
Check the total at the checkout for any booking fee and read the change and cancellation terms for your tour before you pay.
Where to buy and when to book
Advance tickets are cheaper and recommended.
Online
Parliament sells its tour tickets through its own online ticket shop. Booking ahead gets you the lower price and the time you want. Tours run mainly on Saturdays and in recess weeks, so choose your time early.
At the Ticket Office
Most tours can also be bought at the Ticket Office at Portcullis House on Victoria Embankment, SW1A 2LW. If you buy there on the day, expect the on-the-day price. Note that this is not the same as the visitor entrance at Cromwell Green. See getting there.
Add-ons are separate
The Elizabeth Tower tour costs £55 for adults for tours from 1 August 2026. Westminster Abbey charged £32 for adults in October 2026. Neither is part of a Parliament ticket, and there is no shared ticket for the palace and the Abbey.
Looking for something free? A debate from the public gallery costs nothing, and so does Prime Minister's Questions. See watch a debate and PMQs. For the tower, see the Big Ben tour page.
